Anointing of the Sick...
Anointing of the sick is a sacrament to be received as soon as someone is seriously ill…”When one is seriously ill the time has already come for them to have received the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.” For example if anyone needs to go to the hospital, that person must be seriously ill and therefore the time has already come for them to have received the sacrament before they go into the hospital. If someone is placed on hospice care the time has already come for them to have received the Anointing of the Sick. Also, for those who are infirm or in some way debilitated due to the normal aging process, it is appropriate for them to request the Anointing of the Sick. The Anointing of the Sick may be given again if the person makes a recovery and then becomes seriously ill or infirm once again.
