2015-2016 RE Program In the Spotlight
RE Program-2015-2016 Catechist:
Sister Janice Cooke-came from her
hometown of Rochester, New York and
arrived in Lockhart two years ago. She
came to help Sister Lillian at the Eudist Servants of the 11th hour convent in September of 2014. She loved it here and
decided to stay in Lockhart at St Mary's and today she celebrated her 5th year anniversary as a Servant and renewed her vows during the 10:30 AM Mass. She started volunteering as a teacher’s assistant with the RE RCIA program in October of 2015 and about 1 month ago became a teacher for the RE program teaching 12 grade. “I enjoy being with them. I haven't done this in years but they have
been very patient with me.” Says Sister. She has become very active and is a part time Office Assistant at our parish office on Wednesdays and Fridays. She visits the nursing homes once or twice a week and sings in the choir every other Sunday “I love all the missions I am doing here in
Lockhart. The people were wonderful to me when I arrived and now I love this parish.” Says Sister. We here at St. Mary’s are so lucky to have her and have grown to love her in such a short time. We hope to have you here for a long time. Congratulations Sister on your 5th anniversary!!
