Knights of Columbus One Life, One Rose
The Our Lady of Guadalupe Silver Rose
has been a Knights of Columbus tradition
for 58 years. In 1960, groups of
Columbian Squires in Mexico, Canada
and the United States decided to honor Our Lady of
Guadalupe by carrying a rose across North America from
Canada to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in
Monterrey, Mexico. The One Life, One Rose Program
demonstrates the unity between Knights of Columbus in
Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, through a series of prayer
services promoting the dignity of all human life and
honoring Our Lady. Each year Silver Roses are
stewarded by councils along routes from Canada to
Mexico. Every stop the Silver Rose makes throughout
the pilgrimage is a prayer centered occasion for Knights,
parishioners, and community members to pray for
respect for life, for the spiritual renewal of each nation,
and for the advancement of the message of Our Lady of
Guadalupe. Our local Knights of Columbus will host the
Silver Rose here at St. Mary’s at all Masses the
weekend of October 7-8th.

The Bereavement Ministry invites all members to
attend their next meeting on Tues., Oct. 9th at 7PM in RE
Bldg. Room #4.

“To open the hearts of all Your sons and daughters and to listen to Your call in all our lives” St. Mary’s invites you to its campaign to pray for more vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life and marriage. The Vocation Chalice will resume on June 4, 2023. The chalice will be available to travel from home to home for 1 week intervals. During that week the host family will be asked to make a special effort to pray together with emphasis on an increase in vocations and married life, as well as a clear understanding as to the vocation Christ is calling each family member. A sheet of suggested prayers will accompany the chalice.
.
